I've always wanted to try Aerial Yoga ever since I was living in Singapore but I just wasn’t able to find the courage and time to do so. It has just always looked intimidating and more challenging to me.

So I finally joined a class and I absolutely liked it! Hurrah! I’ve been practicing Aerial Yoga for 2 months now at Yogasuite Madrid.

Aerial yoga requires a lot of strength, balance and coordination. One should have a basic yoga practice before trying this type of yoga. It takes a lot of focus and concentration while wrapping and maneuvering your body in the silky hammock, doing a certain yoga pose. You’ve got to focus, hold, breathe and relax!

The benefits are almost the same with the usual yoga practice but the muscle stretches are deeper, as you hold onto the slings and stay on the pose for an extended time. It stimulates your core muscles, building more body strength and stamina. At the end of the class, you will feel relaxed, lying your whole body in the hammock for savasana!

I am definitely recommending Aerial Yoga for all the yoga enthusiasts. It’s fun, challenging and exciting! I am learning a lot from this practice!
